About Us

The Leyland Society is a registered charity who's primary aims are to inform the public at large about the history of the largest commercial vehicle manufacturer in the UK who's products were exported to almost every country around the world for almost 100 years.

There are a considerable number of Leyland vehicles, buses, lorries and fire engines in preservation and the Society will assist owners in whatever capacity they can to ensure they continue to run and demonstrate the technology from the past.

We currently have a worldwide membership in the order of 500 who for an annual subscription receive 4 editions of Leyland Torque periodical which discusses a huge range of topics and includes comments from members where relevant and an annual edition of the Leyland Journal that covers topics in much greater detail.

If you are interested in joining the Society you will find an membership application form here.

At this present time the Society is run by a Committee of 5 elected Trustee Director's and one co-opted member who undertakes membership records.
