Notes on The Jack's Hill Cafe Inaugural Gathering sent in by Jim King.

Last Sunday, 15th. April saw the inaugural meeting of The Jack's Hill Cafe Gathering held at Jack's Hill Cafe on the A5 at Towcester, Northants.
It is an informal meeting open to all makes and ages and was only broadcast by word of mouth. Despite this some thirty plus vehicles attended and a large number of spectators filled the parking lots.
The owners of the cafe opened up at 7.30 a.m. and you could have been forgiven for going back in time at the throng of drivers chatting about "the good old days" and the gentle waft of a drivers "fry-up" breakfast in the air. I am sure that with a little publicity this event will become very popular in the coming seasons. The Leyland marque was represented by the Buffalo and the Martian and a most enjoyable day was had by all.
Watch out for this one next year, hopefully to be held around the same weekend, it's a blinder.
